Shipping policy

The cut-off for ordering in time for delivery before Christmas Day 2024 is 5pm 18th December for those ordering to UK addresses. We cannot guarantee dates for international shipping due to the time it can take for orders to clear customs.

If you're ordering from outside the UK, please read all of the section below on international shipping and get in touch if you have any questions before completing your purchase.

Orders for Seagull merch are processed separately from the rest of the stuff sold on our shop. More info on all this is provided below.

Seagull merch (T-shirts, hoodies, etc.)

Our merch is very generously being packaged and shipped by some of our lovely supporters who've volunteered their time to help. Orders are typically dispatched within one week, but all orders placed by 5pm 18th December will be shipped in time for delivery before Christmas.

Orders are sent by Royal Mail Tracked 48 and can currently only be shipped within the UK.

The rest of what we sell on our shop is sent out much more quickly and can be shipped anywhere in the UK and to mainland EU countries (more info below).

If you combine Seagull merch with other products in a single order, Shopify may try to apply two shipping fees on checkout. However, when this happens we apply an automatic discount of £4.99, to make sure you're only paying once for shipping.

UK shipping for circus kit and toys

Orders are delivered by Royal Mail Tracked 48, which typically arrives two working days after we dispatch your order.

Orders received before 1pm on Monday to Friday are dispatched the same day.

Orders after 1pm on Monday to Friday and orders placed on weekends and bank holidays will be dispatched on the next working day.

Based on feedback from our supporters, we're currently charging a flat shipping rate of £4.99 on all orders. This is because a lot of you have told us that you want as much of your purchase as possible to go straight to funding the charitable work of The Flying Seagull Project, rather than covering the cost of us offering free shipping.

International shipping for circus kit and toys

We're currently offering shipping to mainland EU countries at a flat rate of £19.99. Estimated transit time ranges from three to fourteen working days, depending on your location.

If you're ordering to an address outside the UK, VAT (UK sales tax of 20%) will be deducted from the price of your items when you enter your delivery country at checkout. If there are any problems with this, please email info@theflyingseagullproject.shop.

Please note that on receipt of the goods you should expect to pay your local import duty at your national rate. We do not have any control over these charges, which vary from country to country.

We recommend that you contact your local customs or import authority before ordering, so that you're fully aware of your local rates.

In some instances, you may also be charged a brokerage fee by the courier delivering your parcel in your country. Again, we have no control over this fee and it will vary depending on your location. In some cases you can avoid this fee by collecting your parcel from your local customs depot which is generally at your local airport.
